Great upgrade paths my 4rse!! Not many free upgrades being given away here I think. Those of us who paid full whack for the original and are paying 35 pound a month ( I would say the majority of users) get to pay another 100 pound for an upgrade, but newcomers who bought them for a knockdown 69pounds (with quidco!) 2 months ago can pay the 100 pound upgrade have a nice new shiny 3G Iphone and still be 100 better off than those of us stuck with our old ones. And, if i do upgrade and give the wife my old phone she could use this on her current 15 pound a month o2 plan, with a 7.50 bolt on for unlimited internet and she has an iphone for 22.50 a month...mmmmm
Ps Can I have a prize for posting the first comment on here pls ;-)
Well 'disgruntled' you have my sympathy.
But, the fact is that Apple are offering (or allowing the phone companies to offer) more reasonable upgrades for those wishing to get an iPhone now.
The iPhone is now going mainstream.
The first iPhone was to prove that Apple could break into the mobile phone market (and that's a tough ask). The 2nd iPhone is to try and flood that market, and they can only do that by making it cheaper for the newcomers.
Early adopters always pay more, that's life.
PS: Go on then, identify yourself and you can have a free copy of the native iPhone version of utopia solitaire when it's released.
